A Season to Remember: Nora & Makenna’s Net 🏐Ninjas 🥷

Some moments in life are just too special not to document, and this was one of them. This year, my daughter, Nora, and her friend/teammate, Makenna, took on the challenge of coaching a young girls club volleyball team organized by Empire Athletics in Farmington New Mexico —and let me tell you, it was the cutest thing ever. Watching these two pour their energy, passion, and love for the game into coaching was beyond inspiring. Not only did that have a lasting and meaningful impression on these young players, they were also able to win the championship tournatment.

To celebrate the end of the season, they went all out for their team’s award ceremony. Pizza, metals, award certificates and of course, we had to add a little extra magic! We put together a custom pink balloon backdrop, set up the FreekBox photo booth, and made sure every player walked away with a keepsake from the night. Even though it was a small party, the memories captured in those photos will last a lifetime.

But the real stars of the night? Nora & Makenna. At just 16, they pulled off a championship season and an event that was fun, meaningful, and truly special for her team. Her ability to plan, organize, and bring people together was nothing short of impressive. Seeing her step up, take charge, and make it all happen reminded us just how capable and creative she is.

This night wasn’t just about volleyball—it was about celebrating growth, leadership, and the power of making people feel valued. As parents we couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you to the team at Empire Athletics for creating these amazing opportunities with your state-of-the-art facility. Here’s to many more unforgettable seasons ahead! 🏐🎉💖
